Illich Omar Colón has more than 22 years of legal experience in Corporate, Insurance, Real Estate, Technology, Banking and Public Finance Law. Prior to joining GFR, Mr. Colón was general counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Metropistas, a public-private partnership that operates some of the main highways in Puerto Rico.

He has also worked as vice president and legal counsel at Popular, Inc. and has been secretary in several mutual funds managed by its main banking subsidiary, Banco Popular de Puerto Rico. He has extensive experience working on legal matters related to new business structures and transactions, contracts, data security and privacy, and other general matters.

B.S. in Accounting from Fordham University; Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico, School of Law.
